This is a special house in a happening part of Auckland. We would certainly consider staying here on any future visits.

I rented the house for 12 days , it was summer. Since the day of arrival, it was so easy taking over into the house. The location in Cowan street in Ponsonby was a great choice. Bus stop was 4 minutes walk from home , also 10 minutes walk from Victoria park and western park. The house itself was very clean and comfortable to my family. With books from all types ( kids , novels, cooking) as well as other entertainment options like board games , sky tv and media player and movies it was enjoyable being at home. The backyard was so nice. Kitchen was fully staffed with groceries and other item also a Nespresso. On the day of my travel, handing over the house was as easy as taking it over. We would like to thank Diana for making everything prepared , clean and cosy

My 2 friends and I loved Diana's beautiful house where we recently stayed for 12 nights while attending a workshop in Auckland earlier this month. It was even better than the photos and description on airbnb's website. Everything was clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage room for our clothes. We especially loved the beautiful artwork on display which gave a cosy atmosphere to the house. Before we arrived Diana responded to all our questions very promptly and in a very friendly manner. A bonus for us was the undercover clothes line on the deck which allowed us to dry our clothes in the fresh air as unfortunately we had a lot of rainy weather while we were there. However there was also a clothes dryer which we could have used. We also enjoyed the generous fridge and family kitchen as we did cook most of our meals but when we did eat out it was only a few minutes walk to the Ponsonby cafes. The bus stop was also close by which was another bonus. If we return to Auckland we would certainly stay at Diana's house again.

A wonderful house and host. The house is spacious, light and airy, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The back deck and garden are great spaces to relax in, a quiet oasis. Conveniently located just a short walk to the restaurants, shops and bus stops on Ponsonby Rd, the house is a great base from which to explore Auckland. Diana welcomed us personally to her home and proved to be a great communicator before and during our stay, as well as being very flexible about our check-in time after an early arrival in Auckland. I highly recommend 'Work or play in Ponsonby' and would definitely stay there again.

I stayed for about a week in Dec 2015. I wish I could have stayed even longer. It's such a beautiful house, convenient to great restaurants and cafes. I loved hanging out on the back deck. Diana was an extremely warm and generous host. I highly recommend.

Four of us from Canada stayed at at this house for six weeks in September-October 2015 during an working stint in Auckland. The owner went to great lengths to make sure that everything was fully functional before we arrived. The beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was very nice during the cool spring evenings. The neighborhood quiet and pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped, with a stocked pantry that give us a good start for our extended stay (replenished before we left). Shopping is a short walk away. Buses to downtown are convenient, and the trains are only a 20 minute walk away. One Tree Hill (Cornwall Park) is a short walk too, and a wonderful place for an evening unwinding stroll. We would/will definitely stay here again on return trips.

This house was wonderful. It is extremely well stocked, very cosy and comfortable. Our group of 6 adults fitted in very comfortably. Lots of lovely touches, clean and well maintained. Very highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Diana's "Work or play in Ponsonby" property for anyone visiting Auckland! For our Auckland trip, Ponsonby was our neighborhood of choice because of its restaurants, cafes, pubs, shopping, etc. Aside from its good location, we selected this property because of the positive reviews by other guests, and we were pleased to find that they were true - the house is spacious and Diana was a wonderful host! The house feels like home away from home. We especially loved the decor (done with excellent taste!), the preserved original elements (letterbox handle in the picture and light switches), and the electric blankets under the sheets (a pleasant surprise for those not expecting them!). The house was very spacious, plenty of open spaces, nice garden, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need and more. I can't speak highly enough about Diana, such a nice person! Prior to our arrival, she replied promptly to all questions, provided a lot of suggestions for places to visit and explore, and always made us feel comfortable. She accommodated a very early check in in the morning (after a red-eye flight). We enjoyed meeting her after our excursions outside Auckland and sharing our experiences. Diana, thank you for the wonderful atmosphere!

The apartment has everything in it you could possibly want for a short or long stay - and is scrupulously clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bed linen and towels provided are first class as is the comfort of the beds. The kitchen is well equipped and has some basic necessities in the cupboards so you don't have to rush out and buy salt, oil etc. Many cafes are within walking distance and it is a short drive to a supermarket and other shops.theLovely views are enjoyed from the windows and there a sitting out deck/balcony for warmer weather. The weather was quite nasty during our stay so it was a bonus to have a first class TV with international stations, wifi provided and even a wifi printer which we had to use at one stage. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to provide everything you could possibly want and we would definitely stay again,

This is a wonderful home in a great neighborhood. I really appreciated Diana's taste, the home is beautifully furnished and finished to a high spec. Superb garden. Will stay again!

Diana was quick to reply to our queries and provided accurate directions to her home. The house was located within a quiet neighborhood with very easy access to Ponsonby Road and buses to the city. The house was very tastefully decorated with fantastic artwork, spotlessly clean and had an abundance of natural light. The beds were very comfortable and there was little noise at night. The house came with a well stocked pantry, plenty of coffee for the coffee machine and all of the cooking and cleaning equipment you could need. The garden and deck behind the house was private and comfortable, a great spot to enjoy breakfast or a quiet drink in the evening. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be recommending it to friends who visit Auckland!

Diana is a wonderful host and the house was perfect, just as it's described. The beds are very comfortable and the house felt cozy. The location was perfect for a quick walk to breakfast or a short drive to the central business district. The Nespresso machine was a plus to wake up to a fresh cup of coffee. Diana was very prompt in her responses to emails and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay.
